Warning! 0 Pollution: Welcome To Langeoog

Yes! Germany has islands and they are beautiful.

Most of us want to go to a quiet place where you could not be disturbed by the noise of crowded cities. Well, it seems like you came in the right place.

“Langeoog is one of the seven inhabited East Frisian Islands at the edge of the Lower Saxon Wadden Sea in the southern North Sea. The name Langeoog means Long Island in the Low German dialect.”

The only possible access way to the island for tourists is the ferry. Boats are active at different times of the day and bring with them dozens of people. Once on the island, they are picked up by a special free train to get to town.

Once you get there, your perception (and conception) of a modern city can change quickly. As soon as you get down, you can see that there are no vehicles (except the ones for emergency, but they are also electric).

Langeoog is powered by wind farms around the islands, but also by solar power. Here it seems that the population finally understood what environmental protection means.

If you’re afraid of walking too much don’t worry, because you can find a special spot where to rent a bicycle for your stay.

On Langeoog you could have all sorts of beautiful experiences. From riding a horse and seeing the seals to a romantic sunset with your loved one. We can say this small island made up of only 2,000 inhabitants has it all. Pictures can tell you everything.
